Well we have had a busy few weeks with all the Christmas baking and orders.  I have really enjoyed getting to provide baked goods for so many new clients.  From scrumptious Cookies and Cream Cupcakes to a smooth Red Velvet gift box cake it has been a busy time and a sweet smelling one in my kitchen.  My poor little mixer has about had it so I was really excited when my wonderful husband and his father got me a new Cuisinart Mixer for Christmas.  My kitchen will soon be knocking out some orders again.  I hope everyone has enjoyed their Christmas with family and friends.   Check out our Facebook page for a reward program in progress until Feb. Enjoying trying out many new flavors this week.  Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes with Cookie Dough Buttercream frosting are first on the list then I will be working on perfecting a Black Forest Cupcake, complete with Cherries in the center.  A few sweets for my close friends to taste test for me.  I am looking forward to the Cookie dough cupcakes as I am and have always been a cookie dough eater. You the one that will bake cookies and for every sheet that goes in the oven three balls of cookie dough end up missing.

I am also this week on a search for some custom cake boxes and cupcake boxes for delivering the cakes in.  I have been purchasing them locally but I think I would like to have something that says HEY I CAME FROM SUGAR RICH BAKERY.  So all your friends will know where your yummy treat came from.

Hi I am Susan, The baker and cake designer.  I just want to make this first post an introduction into my life.  I am married to a wonderful man, Jason, who is the love of my life.  We have three beautiful children, Cristian, Matthew, and Ashley.   We seem to be always on the go doing something, either with school or church. 

I fell in love with baking when I was younger and have always enjoyed spending time in my kitchen. My husband has always said that if it wasn't for the kids I would probably stay in there all day cooking up something.  He is right!  I started decorating and designing cakes when my kids birthdays would roll around and I refused to buy the cakes at the grocery store.  My boys always kept it simple in what they wanted but I knew when my daughter turned one I wanted an awesome cake, so I started searching the internet for ideas and came up with my daugheters first cake.  I knew after I finished her cake I had found my passion. 

I hope to Share that Passion with you!
